I was pulling my hair out over the <li> tag in IE in a nav interface for a
website I'm designing under a deadline; I don't think I would have ever
figured out how to get rid of the *infuriating* and inexplicable
three-pixel-high white bars that IE's rendering issues generated.  Finally,
a google search for "pixels after </li>" yielded your article, and the
display : inline trick worked like a charm.  I don't know what I would have
done otherwise.

By the way, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea if you were to put a paypal
donations button on your site.  you're definitely providing a service that
has value...
